PCB drilling process
August 25th, 2013 | Posted by in PCB production process - (Comments Off on PCB drilling process)PCB cutting material process is the first step of pcb production. You could call to stop anytime before it. But the status of PCB is on cutting material, it is too late for you to call stop.Because 70% cost is the material cost. But you still could change the inner layer, drilling and so on.
Many China PCB factories don’t have the lamination equipment. Usually, they will send pcbs inner layer finished to other big factory or the lamanation factory to complete this process. It seems it is not what you like. But it is common, and you don’t need to worry about quality, because these lamination factories is very professional, they even could make …

EQ example: wrong pcb drill location
August 25th, 2013 | Posted by in Engineering questions example - (1 Comments)Q 8. pic12,we could see these 6 drilled holes with 0.3mm size are not in the center of copper pads. It is abnormal pcb drill location. We suggest to move these 6 holes to the center of the pads as pic 13, is it ok? pic 12 pic 13
EQ example: pcb PTH problem
August 24th, 2013 | Posted by in Engineering questions example - (1 Comments)Pls see above area circled, it seems some problems with these pcb PTHs coz they don’t connect with circuit board copper in Layer 2, maybe there are some mistakes while your designer export the Gerber files. Pls provide new data.
EQ example:abnormal circuit board solder mask opening
August 22nd, 2013 | Posted by in Engineering questions example - (Comments Off on EQ example:abnormal circuit board solder mask opening)Pic4,the MARKs solder mask opening are abnormal ,pls choose, A:Make same with gerber, the cooper around masks will be exposed. B: Change Gerber copper as pic 5 to make sure the cooper around masks will be exposed . pic4 pic5 Customer Reply :
Some pads are out of PCB profile/outline, after routing, the copper will be expose as Pic1. So pls choose, A. Copper expose is no problem B. We will shave the blue pads copper as pic 2 to make sure the distance between outline and pads is 0.2mm. Then copper won’t expose after routing. pic1 …

Many people are perplexed by countersink holes (often called sink hole or countersunk hole) on PCB boards. Indeed these terms deserve a good explanation. I want to thank Mr.Li from our fabrication department. He took me to school (maybe a little old school even) on countersinks and counterbores. Countersink A countersink hole is simply a …
