Characteristic

MC metal core PCB have good thermal Conductivity, and for aluminum base material can support strong enough electric current compared with FR-4 material. Aluminum PCB use SMT is very effective to deal with heat diffusion. And can reduce product volume, then decrease the cost of hardware and assembly. Lastly, it can low the product operating temperature and then lengthen its servise life.

Three components of aluminum plate

Aluminum plate is composed of the circuit layers (copper foil layers), the thermal insulating layer and the metal substrate. Circuit layer requires a large current carrying capacity, which should use more thick copper foil, the thickness is generally 35μm to 280μm; thermal insulation layer is the core technology of the PCB aluminum pcb, usually it is constituted by a special ceramic special polymer, small thermal resistance, excellent viscoelastic properties, and has the ability to resist heat aging, able to withstand the mechanical and thermal stresses. The thermal insulation layer of IMS-H01, IMS-H02 and LED-0601 high-performance PCB aluminum pcb uses such technology, it requires to have very good thermal conductivity and high strength electrical insulation properties; metal substrate is the support member of aluminum pcb, which is required to have high thermal conductivity, generally aluminum, also can use copper (copper is able to provide better thermal conductivity), suitable for drilling, punching and cutting, and other conventional machining. Process requirements: gold-plated, HAL, osp antioxidant, Immersion Gold, Lead-free ROHS process, etc.
